The Titans are major antagonists in the adult animated series Final Space, serving as the central antagonists of Season 1 and minor antagonists in the second and third seasons.
They are a race of cosmic beings who were created by the Arachnitects. Formerly benevolent beings, the Titans were created to build and construct the universe. However, when they reached the end of the universe, the Titans were corrupted by an entity of darkness known as Invictus. After their corruption, their sole purpose was to infect the universe with chaos and destruction. The Titans are currently imprisoned inside of Final Space.
Background
In the beginning, there was nothing but blackness until the Arachnitects were born from the Beings of Unimaginable Light. They created the Titans and ordered them to layer and create dimensions. But when they reached the final parts of space, the Titans were corrupted by an ancient mysterious evil. The Titans who were corrupted believed the Arachnitects were enslaving them and using them just to build the universe and that Invictus liberated them. The only one that was unaffected by the corruption was Bolo, who sealed the Titans in Final Space but was imprisoned in Inner Space by Oreskis.
The Titans currently reside within the dimension known as Final Space. For eons, the Titans tried to escape from Final Space, creating breaches between the thread of dimensions. When John Goodspeed closed one of this breaches, a fraction of Final Space corporealizes in the form of a creature later known as Mooncake, while an energy wave corrupted Johns' co-pilot Jack into becoming the Lord Commander.
The Titans are said by Nightfall to be responsible for the destruction of the universe in the future where she came from, when Mooncake opened the portal to Final Space in a fit of rage after Gary's death.
It is also known that they are sacrificed to like Gods. This is seen in Chapter 3, when the High Helpers concoct a battle-to-the-death arena called the Deathcropolis, in order to make sacrifices to the Twelve Titans.
Appearance
Titans are large and monstrous creatures. Each Titan is unique in appearance, with some appearing largely humanoid while others have a completely alien and almost Lovecraftian appearance. They are normally colossal, but are capable of changing their size at will. One Titan was able to increase its size to break through the breach and grab Earth and pull it into Final Space, while Bolo was shown to be able to shrink himself to the size of a bug in "Arachnitects", as well as increase his size to that of a star in "The Hidden Light". Titans can allow other beings into their minds, and posses hundreds of "mind chambers" which seem to be entire planes of reality in their own right.
Powers and Abilities
Each Titan possess an abundance of abilities. It is possible that there are abilities that are unique to each Titan.
- Enhanced Strength: Due to their colossal size, Titans naturally possess super levels of strength. One punch from a Titan can cause catastrophic damage to a planet.
- Heightened Endurance: Titans are able to survive in the harsh, freezing conditions of space without any signs of discomfort. Titans are also able to withstand extreme heat evidenced when Bolo was able to mold a star (which are known to have temperatures of >6,000 Degrees Celsius) with his bare hands to forge his weapon.
- Enhanced Speed: Titans are able to travel fast enough to escape collapsing dimensions.
- Enhanced Agility: Because of their skill and speed, Titans can act with immense equilibrium and precision.
- Size Manipulation: In their normal size, Titans are around the size of large planets. However, Titans can alter their heights at will; ranging from small as a bug to large enough that they are able to grab a planet with one hand.
- Immortality: As shown with Bolo, Titans are capable of living for thousands of years, and if they are not killed they will never die not needing food, water, etc.
- Telepathy: All Titans communicate with other beings via telepathy as they do not move their mouths when speaking or do not possess mouths at all. The range of this communication is extraordinarily large as Bolo was able to communicate with Team Squad despite being light years away from their location.
Unique Abilities
Lizard Titan
- Electrokinesis: During the Lizard Titan's battle against Bolo, it was able to generate a purple, electric-like substance from its eyes in order to stun and repel Bolo. It is unknown if this ability is the Titan's natural power or if it stems from Invictus's corruption.
Lord Commander
- Shapeshifting: The Lord Commander is able to morph his appendages into blades, sharp enough to impale and cut cleanly through other Titans.

Trivia
- It's revealed in Chapter 10 that the Lord Commander wishes to become one of them to prevent himself from dying and gain more power as a Titan.
- He was unable to do so until the episode "Until the Sky Falls", where he becomes one by merging with a Titan that was incubating in Earth's core, which also reveals that some Titans are born from a planet's core.
- A Titan was seen in "The Other Side", but since the events from that episode were all in Little Cato's imagination, it is unknown if this Titan actually exists.
- Titans seem to have lime green blood, as evident by the Lizard Titan bleeding green blood when its arm was blasted off by Mooncake, as well as Bolo and Oreskis' injuries sustained during their fight.
- However, as seen at the end of "The Dead Speak", the Titans that The Lord Commander had slaughtered had red and purple blood, which could mean Titans have different colors of blood.
